But third-party programmers discovered one XML file from this patch, judging by which we can tell a little more about exactly how the update will occur.
The update process is divided into several stages
The XML file described above contains the link “GWX”, which is an abbreviation for Get Windows X (getting Windows 10) and it describes that upgrading the system to “ten” will take place in several stages:
- The first step is called "Anticipation UX" and includes pop-ups that will be displayed on target machines to let users know that the launch of Windows 10 is approaching (pop-ups will be displayed until the new OS becomes available and that it is very likely that they will start appearing already at the end of May or beginning of June)

You should not expect that users of Windows 7 and 8.1 will receive an upgrade to Windows 10 first; first, the final version of the OS will be received by members of the Windows Insider project, who are helping to test the “ten” by installing the Technical Preview version of the system. The update will come to them a little earlier than everyone else. 
Well, all that remains is to wait for Microsoft to release the final release of Windows 10; some sources assure that this will happen at the end of July.
