I'll start, perhaps, with brands. If we compare the Samsung and Apple brands, the latter is not only a more popular brand than the first, but one of the most popular and expensive in the world. But as for fame, I think that Samsung is more widely known, since this company, in addition to gadgets, also produces household appliances, and quite good ones at that. In some ways, Samsung's brand in the mobile world will always be burdened by the fact that the company is also a home appliance company. Apple, on the other hand, specializes only in computers and gadgets, and is famous for the quality of its products and their premium quality, but this is more of an airy halo.

Based on my subjective opinion, I would like to note that the Galaxy S5 runs Android 4.4.2. It’s convenient because you don’t have to do anything fancy to download music, movies and other data; everything can be quickly uploaded to a memory card. But with the iPhone 6 you will have to do this either through a special program, or use the clouds (but these are additional expenses for traffic).
In general, Android KitKat is a fairly stable and good mobile operating system, but iOS 8 is one of the most buggy versions of the Apple mobile OS. Otherwise, these operating systems are very different, so there is no point in comparing them, since this is a matter of taste and goals for everyone.
As for ease of use, I definitely feel more comfortable working on the Galaxy S5 because of the freedom that Android gives. On the iPhone, I am deprived of many opportunities to independently manage it: from the ease of installing my own ringtones and music, as well as installing third-party programs not from the AppStore, to choosing wallpapers (including live ones), styles, icons, and making more subtle settings.
Which device should I choose?
The price of Galaxy S5 is from 22,800 rubles, the price of iPhone 6 is from 31,990 rubles.
To summarize, I would give preference to the Galaxy S5, although, I won’t lie, if I had an extra 10 thousand, I would think about it. But, nevertheless, I don’t see the point in overpaying at all, and the overpayment is unreasonable and limiting in almost everything.
