How to play skyrim over a local network. Skyrim "Co-op mod (Skyrim LAN Multiplayer) (2.4.0u4)"

Team Zenimax Online Studios released The Elder Scrolls Online back in May last year, but fans of the series have not given up on the dream of playing in multiplayer mode. As the site has learned, modders have released a modification for Skyrim that adds cooperative multiplayer to the game.

A mod called Tamriel Online allows you to plunge into the world of Tamriel 2011 with your friends. However, the author of the modification, Siegfre, noted that he did not properly test his creation. In other words, the modification may simply ruin the whole experience, but the author is currently collecting feedback from players in order to correct all the shortcomings in the future.

At the moment, some problems with the game crashing after the death of players and between loading screens have already been fixed. Some fans have already confirmed that Tamriel Online works for 2 players or more. However, the modification is currently missing several key gameplay elements. For example, when one player attacks NPCs and monsters, they do not appear on the other's screen.

Be that as it may, players note that even in its unfinished form, the mod allows you to experience unusual sensations and make the game interesting again. According to Gamebomb.ru, Siegfre has been developing his mod for only two weeks, and this is his first modification of Skyrim. However, he has already managed to advance further than anyone who has ever tried to implement multiplayer in a game.

Tamriel Online is another attempt to add co-op mode to Skyrim, and it's quite successful. This is NOT an MMO mod. It is NOT designed for multi-thousands of simultaneous players.

Skyrim is a wonderful world that would be even more interesting to explore with a couple of good friends. The creator of the mod is based on this principle. You can play with or without other mods. You can connect to existing ones, or create your own dedicated server. The mod is still under development (WIP), but you can try it out now.

Client + server are archived

  • One of the features of the mods is not working properly.

Try running SKSE as administrator instead of running it normally.

  • I don't have a "home" key.

Changing "key=0x24" (aka "home") in "TamrielOnline.ini" to another key listed under "TamrielOnline.ini"

  • What does "questtype" do, in "ServerSettings.ini"

"Questtype" determines the type of synchronization, -1 (no synchronization, best performance), 0 (host synchronization, default), 1 (FFA synchronization, everyone's quests are in sync with everyone else).

  • My character is not syncing on other computers.

Double check that your firewall is not blocking outgoing UDP traffic and try connecting again. Try increasing the "startuptime" in "TamrielOnline.ini" to a longer period of time (value in seconds).

  • Other people's characters are not synced on my computer.

Double check that the other person(s) firewall is not blocking outgoing UDP traffic and have them try connecting again. Make sure your server is accessible and that incoming UDP traffic is not blocked by your firewall.

  • I'm getting frequent crashes and the game is rumbling.

This may be caused by your ENB. Some ENBs will enter framelimiting mode when you press the home button. To resolve this issue, change "key=0x24" (aka "home") in "TamrielOnline.ini" to another key listed under "TamrielOnline.ini" Selecting object/actors/etc could also be causing the crashes . ...in the console window. If you select something to use using a console command, deselect it before closing the console.

  • I get "failed to connect" when trying to connect to the server.

Make sure your firewall/AV is not blocking Skyrim, SKSE or TamrielOnline.asi. Check and make sure there is no space on the line with the IP you are connecting to. To help determine the source of this problem, try connecting to a shared server. If you are unable to connect to the shared server, then you can go through this process again to make sure everything is configured correctly.

  • I will never receive any messages telling me to press the home button.

Make sure you are running the game as an administrator via SKSE. Check that both "TamrielOnline.asi" and "ScriptDragon.dll" are not blocked (check each file's properties for the "unblock" option). Make sure that all files from the archive are installed and that you have fulfilled all the requirements listed at the top of the page.

  • I'm having trouble connecting using port forwarding.

Try using Hamachi instead. Make sure everyone has Hamachi, are connected to each other via Hamachi, and everyone (except the host) use Hamachi IP nodes in their "TamrielOnline.ini" settings. The host can leave the IP set to "127.0.0.1".

  • Duplicates of my character appear, and mirror images of what I do.

Double check your server settings and make sure "testing" is set to false. If the problem persists, then it is most likely a known bug that still does not have a permanent solution. In the meantime, you can try connecting through another computer, or an Internet connection.

  • There are clones of people all over the world.

This is an error that occurs when people close out of Skyrim without disconnecting from the game. To get rid of clones you can use "markfordelete" in the console. This bug is currently working.

  • Other players do not appear when I enter the "ABC" building, or when I fast travel to the "HYG" location.

Try connecting, or there are other players again. This is a synchronization error from the position that is currently running.

  • I can't exit the book, I can't hear the dialogue, or my menus are messed up.

Try opening and closing the console once. This happens when the server is set to "canpause=false", the nopause option does not work 100% yet, and as such can cause a lot of menu glitches.

  • I crash when I load my gate while connecting.

In order to prevent a crash, it is better to disconnect from the server before downloading a new save.

Tamriel online is an online mod for Skyrim that allows you to play the game with friends. The mod was created for the purpose of cooperative play with or without mods. This is not an MMO! modification. It is in no way intended for playing “over 1000+” players on one server. The author of this mod believes that Skyrim is a wonderful game that will become much more exciting when played cooperatively with friends. Tamriel online will allow you to interact with each other as much as possible. In order to set up your server locally or through a dedicated server, you need to run the Tamriel Online Server software. Accordingly, to connect to a friend - “Tamriel Online Client”.
Instructions: how to play Skyrim in co-op (server creation)

3. Find out your IP address using one of the methods described below:
a). Press the key combination “Win” + “R”. Enter the command “cmd”. Enter the command “ipconfig” into the console
b). We go to the 2ip website and look in the column - your IP address.
4. Open the TamrielOnline.ini file with notepad and enter your IP address in the “connectionip=” line.
5. Launch the game server itself via TamrielOnline_Live_Server.exe
6. Launch Skyrim, create/load a game character.
7. Press the “Home” button on your keyboard - at this point the game should connect to your server itself.

Instructions: how to play Skyrim in co-op (connect to a server)

1. To play skyrim online, you need to install the game itself.
2. Next, download the archive containing the client and server files (the mod itself), and unpack it into the game folder.
3. Find out the IP address of the server you are going to connect to.
4. Open the TamrielOnline.ini file with notepad and enter the server’s ip address in the “connectionip=” line.
5. Launch the game (make sure that you have the in-game scripts extension installed, and also install Script Dragon - the “bin” folder and the “pluginsrc” folder need to be dragged into the game folder).
6. Create\upload a character.
7. Press the “Home” button on your keyboard - at this point the game should connect to your friend’s server.

A few notes about this Skyrim mod for online play:

1. The mod is still under development, you should not expect it to be fully functional without bugs.
2. If the server does not have an external IP address, or is under NAT, you can always use programs such as Hamachi, Tungle, Evolve, etc.
3. The mod requires opening port 1283.
4. At the moment, Tamriel online cannot synchronize the position of NPCs. This means that your friend will have a dragon flying nearby when you cannot see this dragon.
5. Currently the following game parameters are synchronized:
Character positions (yours and your friend's)
Player turns in the world
Quick transition (moving in a cart between cities)
Armor sets
The weapon in your hands
Body composition of your characters
Running, jumping, walking, stealth mode.
Combat animation
On my own behalf I would like to say that at this stage it is already possible play skyrim with a friend and get a lot of new impressions from it.
In the next update of the mod, the author promised to write synchronization between game characters (NPCs).
For quick access to information and subsequent updates, the mod page will be added to the right side menu.

Solving some technical problems of the mod:

Problem: I have a laptop and there is no Home button.
Solution: Change the Home key code (“key=0x24”) in the TamrielOnline.ini file to any other key code.

Problem: My character doesn't sync on other computers.
Solution: Double check that your firewall is not blocking outgoing UDP traffic. Just because the firewall is disabled will not prevent you from being blocked.

Problem: I can't recognize characters in chat
Solution: Same as the previous problem - “Double check that your firewall is not blocking outgoing UDP traffic. Just because the firewall is disabled will not prevent you from being blocked." Also make sure that your friend’s outgoing traffic is not blocked.

Problem: I have constant crashes, the game closes/crashes.
Solution: This may be caused by your ENB filters. When you press "Home" some ENBs enter framelimiting mode. To resolve this issue, change the Home key "key=0x24" to something else in the "TamrielOnline.ini" file
Glitches may also be the cause of selecting objects/NPCs/etc. ... in the console window. It is recommended to stop using the console AT ALL!

Problem: I'm getting a "failed to connect" message when trying to connect to a server in Skyrim Online.
Solution: Make sure your firewall/antivirus is not blocking Skyrim, SKSE or TamrielOnline.asi. If you cannot connect to the public server, try installing everything again.

Problem: When you press the "Home" button, nothing happens.
Solution: Make sure you are running the game with administrator rights via SKSE. Check that both “TamrielOnline.asi” and “ScriptDragon.dll” files are not blocked. Make sure that all files from the archive are installed and that you have fulfilled all the requirements listed at the top of the page.

Problem: I'm having trouble connecting through port forwarding.
Solution: Try using Hamachi. Make sure each person has Hamachi, you are connected to each other via Hamachi, and everyone (except the host) is using Hamachi IP addresses in their "TamrielOnline.ini" settings. In this case, the server can leave its IP as standard - “127.0.0.1”.

Problem: Duplicates of my character appear, or my actions are “mirrored.”
Solution: Double check your server settings and make sure "testing" is set to "false". If the problem persists, then most likely the error is known, but it does not yet have a solution. In the meantime, you can try connecting through another computer or Internet connection.

Problem: Clones of players appear.
Solution: This error occurs when people close Skyrim without disconnecting from the game. To get rid of clones, you can use the "markfordelete" command in the console.

Problem: I can't exit a book, I can't hear the dialogue, or my menus are messed up.
Solution: Try opening and closing the console once. This happens when the server has "canpause=false" set.

Problem: The game crashes when trying to connect to the server
Solution: You need to restart the server before downloading a new one.

      Description:
The Shire is a quest mod with a volume of about 4 GB, containing 10699 lines and representing a separate island location of the Shire from The Lord of the Rings. You can get there from Skyrim through a portal. Unique music, ENT, textures available. No major bugs were noticed.
The story begins near Riften. You should run along the road to the edge of the map past the Dawn Gorge. When you get there, you will see a woman fighting the Thalmor. Help her and start a conversation, then everything will go on its own.
There are 2 options available. First, the player falls on the side of conditional Good, then is given the choice to continue as he started or go over to the side of conditional Evil. Good and Evil have different paths and endings. Also, the player's decisions and the degree to which quests are completed affect the survival of a number of NPCs.

      Translation features:
There are both inevitable mistakes and blunders, since this is my first translation.esp in my life.
Some of the names have not been translated. Mainly items for building your home and ingredients. Something simply has no analogues in Russian, something has several meanings and the context is unclear. For example, the line "Close" can mean either "Close", "Close" or "Close". The mod has no connection to sexlab and no age restrictions. Since there is a certain love line with a woman, I focused on the GG - a man. A couple of times the author inserted alternative lines of dialogue for "she", but not often. So, if you play for ZhGG, be prepared that you will sometimes be considered a woman, but mostly a man. It is not always clear which gender is which in the dialogues. The dialogues in the mod were not written at once, but were added to, and not in order. That is, the author wrote the main branches, and then completed them, adding new phrases to the end. As a result, it is not always clear what they refer to and the characters may speak at random.
      Identified shortcomings:
At the very beginning, when the GG just entered the Shire, 2 Hobbits are standing and talking. Both are men, but one of them is translated as a woman. The line at the top has not been translated: respect for you has increased and decreased. When you go to attack the tower, a window appears there, saying that if you go, then the quests for respect will no longer be completed. It's in English
      Spreading:
Anywhere, but indicating the author and source.
Criticism is welcome, I will fix bugs when I receive a sufficient number of reports.

Features: Allows you to sell slaves to the mines of Skyrim, to do this you need to complete the introductory quest from the Jarl of Morthal, Dawnstar or Falkreath, two other quests are available, but only after you become the jarl of any of the possessions listed above. In addition, it allows you to install cages for keeping slaves in your homes in Skyrim, to do this, buy markers from Pardo in the "Restless Hunter" south of Ivarstead, a slave auction is also available, which can be found there. Now, having created a slave camp, you can entrust their protection to either a companion or a devoted slave, but keep in mind that the companion may get tired of this task and leave (there will be a notification before this).
A temporary camp allows you to keep up to 3 slaves, two permanent ones up to 4 slaves each, and cells in the interiors (cave, fort, house) - up to 3, or 6 after the update.
The auction is available after completing the quest, or by unchecking the checkbox in the menu immediately.
Training: Some slaves can train others upon reaching the appropriate level of subjugation (>70).

      Difficulties:
In some rare cases, house slaves may become unresponsive. They will speak a certain line of text when clicked, but no dialog will be displayed. If this happens: check the list of Home Sweet Home slaves in the MCM menu. If the slave's name is empty (only their submission can be seen), then exit the house. Hopefully the name will be reset to "Nippy" and the slave will have to work again.
During a slave auction, slaves may become stuck in their cages and/or auction block. To fix: try to wait an hour, hit the slave. If all else fails, approach Pardo and tell him you need to leave, then leave the inn. The quest stage will end and you will have the opportunity to see Pardo and collect your money.
When you wait for Melina to visit the Laughing Rat, keep in mind that she should be at the Laughing Rat at noon, so she will leave the palace a little earlier. Also, the quest step will fail if you wait (T) in Melina's palace (you can repeat the scene). Wait for her outside the palace.
During the quest "Search for Justice", Merian will attack everything. If she doesn't find you, wait for a day or so outside of major cities (not indoors) and she will find you. She must be out of combat after the attack in order to talk to her and move on with the quest; hitting her will force her to give up and stop fighting. If other NPCs attack her, it may take several attempts.

Features: Allows you to sell slaves to residents of Skyrim (citizens, shopkeepers, tavernkeepers, farmers or miners), after the sale the slaves will be located next to the owner (farm, tavern).
You can sell slaves from Paradise Halls or Home Sweet Home to the majority of Skyrim's population.
      - sales dialogue for NPCs of different specializations, with the exception of some NPCs. Beggars, guards, and priests will not buy slaves. Shopkeepers will not buy untrained slaves.
      - Basic sandbox: slaves follow their masters and will lie down when the master sleeps; workers will isolate the sandbox around the shop/farm, and prostitutes will service clients in the taverns.
      - Owners will tell you how happy they are with their slaves. They will also allow you to buy them back, the price depends on how well the slave works for them.
      - MCM menu with options, information and progress
      - The slave trade will gradually penetrate the cities of Skyrim. At a certain level, this can trigger events in those cities and unlock some things you can do with your slaves (supports Beyond Skyrim: Bruma and Helgen Reborn)
      - Selling slaves will give you slaver experience points and unlock certain bonuses
      - Slaves sold as prostitutes to taverns have dialogue and better behavior (finding beds, etc.) and the player can also pay to have sex with them
      - Slaver: allows you to buy slaves from their owners
      - Hardler's Glove: you can force your PAHE slaves to earn money with sex: NPCs approach them, or you can approach NPCs with this offer (in taverns or towns where slavery is common)
      - Prostitute Perk: You can leave your PAHE slaves in taverns, on the streets or tied up on the roadside to earn money, unattended tricks
      - Perk Madame: open your own brothel in your home
      - When selling slaves at auction in HSH, slaves may appear again later in the bandit camp or for sale in the city
      - Owners who are dissatisfied with their slaves sometimes punish them by whipping them, with a yoke or shackles, by tying them to a tree or to a post (in cities where slavery is common)
      - Support for interactive BDSM: allow passers-by to interact with slaves shackled in devices.
      - Adjustable appearance ratio for male and female subordinates
      - After the end of the civil war, famous characters from the losing side may appear as slaves for sale.
      - Owners have the ability to punish slaves in static devices placed around the city (instead of creating them as needed)
      - The patrons of your brothel are chosen based on the gender of the courtesans and customized sexual preferences
      - Smaller cities such as Mortal will accept slavery a little faster. Hamlets like Rorikstead are even faster
      - You can check slaves for owner's marks to see who owns them (only works on new slaves)
      - Added places for prostitutes in cities and villages. On the streets and behind buildings.

      Requirements:
      Hidden content
To view hidden content you need to be able to approach her for sex. Dialogues become active once every 4 hours, I don’t know if this is a bug or a feature. Loves skooma, including double distillation, you can keep bottles in your inventory. From 9 am to 5 pm he will work on the farm (8-hour work day? Local peasants live well). Dialogues are random, about 100 pieces. Either way they end in sex. There is something about sex for money, but I don’t understand how to get there. Maybe there was more digging to do, or maybe something else.
