Today, after the release of patch 9.3, I decided to analyze the situation in the game and still decide which of them is the best, and who will never return from under the Serb’s file.
Let's start with the fact that light tanks have unique gameplay. Their task in the game is to “highlight” enemy tanks, giving fresh information to the battlefield.
Light is divided into 2 types - active and passive.
An active light is a light that is constantly moving, moving almost under the “nose” of the opponent’s team, and is constantly in “light.”
The passive one, on the contrary, must stand without moving, but bringing the same actual benefit in the form of light. Such light must remain completely invisible.
Since there are two types of exposure in our game, there will be two winners.
So, let's begin.
Here is a list of the best, in my personal opinion, the best light tanks in our game:
- LTTB
- Spähpanzer Ru 251
- AMX 13 90
- M41 Walker Bulldog
- ELC AMX

1.LTTB
Let's remember one small tank. He was fast, lightning fast, elusive and deadly in direct hands. His name is T50-2. They were afraid of him. Loved. They cherished and cherished. Respected. But. In patch 0.8.7. it was mercilessly replaced by its much more stripped-down version, the MT-25. He was “reborn” into a fat version of himself and became slower. His times are over. And so, when there is no longer any hope for his return, only the crew collecting dust on the hangar beds remains, HE returns. Remade again, but very similar to himself, “young” and reactive.
LTTB is a light tank with heavy armor.
He moved up to level 7 and now has about 30 HP/T!!!
Thus, he acquired a new, thicker cannon, a little less rapid-fire, but with its help it is already easier to fight with dozens, with whom he mainly fights.
But, in comparison with other light vehicles, its weapon is extremely weak and it is only suitable for quick exposure.
This tank may lay claim to the best active firefly, but let's take a look at its competitors.
2. Spähpanzer Ru 251
The second contender for victory is RU251, a German tier eight tank introduced in this patch.
What advantages does it have over other LT?
First of all, He is fast. So fast that it has the fastest speed in the game - 80 km/h.
Secondly, its gun has a huge penetration, compared to other LT guns.
Thirdly, pleasant horizontal aiming angles, 5.8 degrees to be exact.
Fourthly, it is small in height, does not stick out from the bushes so much and can cast consistently.
But, it also has disadvantages. One of the brightest - it can be pierced from any angle. There is no armor anywhere.
3.AMX 13 90
It is impossible not to mention this tank. His drum is highly valued among all players. A “ninety” flying at someone was always a very dangerous adversary. It may shine, but it disappears against the background of new light tanks.
Its drum with 6 shells of 240 damage each can destroy even level 9–10 tanks. But the worst thing about this tank at the moment is its stabilization on the move and its overall accuracy of 0.36.
4. M41 Walker Bulldog
A completely new tank that has no direct analogues among any tanks in our game.
10(!) shells in one drum with a reload time of 2 seconds between shots. Impressive. Despite the fact that it is also nimble and quite fast.
5.ELC AMX.
A little killer with a very powerful weapon. One small bush is enough for him to do his tricky job. Damage per shot - 240 units. Moreover, the penetration is 170. Moreover, the “gold” is 248!
Maximum speed - 65 km/h. Not enough.
But the crazy disguise does its job.
The most disgusting thing about this tank is the speed until it is completely reduced. 2.5 seconds. This is a bit much for a light tank.
But, everyone will be happy to get used to the stern of the AMX 50 100, because he will not be able to oppose anything if you keep up with his movements. His gun simply won’t land on such a low tank.

An ideal tank for standing in the bushes and shooting targets flying past. But, oddly enough, it is universal.
If you want to bend over on a light tank, then these two options are for you. Their only big disadvantage is that both of them have terrible tanks going along the branch before them. And, if you want to get them, you will have to suffer, but it’s worth it.
But the most important thing is that light tanks are an endangered species in our game. And everyone who nevertheless chooses this class of technology for themselves must understand that not everything is so simple. Everything requires experience. Not the one you can buy for gold. Experience in operating these machines. Believe my experience, every LT-vod has encountered this: draining at the beginning of the battle with zero damage; you arrive at your favorite place - in the light, you die; one-shot from art; turntables and the like. But, remember, the more of us, the cleaner the randomness, because thanks to us, ordinary players can play normally, who, just like you, are tormented by this “great” and “complex” class of equipment like Artillery.
Many people know that light tanks in the game world of tanks exist as a class only up to the eighth level. The release of the upcoming update becomes a key stage in the evolution of this technology. Now the firefly branch is being extended to level 10, which will make significant changes to the concept of the game. New cars are already being tested on test servers, causing delight or dissatisfaction among players. Let's get acquainted with one of the representatives of the top light tanks T-100 LT, which will appear in the Soviet development tree. To understand the nature of the vehicle, you need to consider in detail the technical characteristics and armament of the tank, which, by the way, can change with the addition of the vehicle to the main client of the game.
Historical facts T-100 LT
A project developed in the mid-1960s by Soviet designers from VNII-100 and GSKB-47 as part of the program to create a modern airborne light tank. The Object 765 infantry fighting vehicle was taken as the basis for development, subjected to a series of modifications. A promising artillery complex was chosen as the weapon, which made it possible to use 100-mm active-missile projectiles with an effective firing distance of up to 1200 m. The tank hull was planned to be welded, made of rolled steel, with combined protection of the frontal projection, which allowed the vehicle to withstand frontal hits from cumulative 90 and 105 mm shells, as well as most ATGMs of NATO armies. The armor on the sides and stern effectively protected against 20 mm automatic guns. The design of the tank included the possibility of transportation by An-12 aircraft. No prototypes were built. One of the reasons for the termination of the project was the poor adaptability of the machine to overcome water obstacles, compared to its floating counterparts.
Tactical and technical characteristics of the T-100 LT
So let's get started. Compared to the usual light tanks of the 8th level, the T-100 LT has a more pleasant safety margin of 1,500 units, but still inferior to classmates in terms of HP. We are also pleased with the basic overview of the T-100 LT, which is 410 meters. It is worth clarifying that this indicator can be raised to maximum values. 
One of the undeniable advantages is the stealth factor. The car has an incredibly low silhouette, so it won’t be easy to spot a firefly hiding in the bushes. However, this advantage is partially offset by the length of the hull: it is simply an excellent target for artillery.
The strengths include the mobility of the T-100 LT tank. The car shows incredible top speed, complemented by excellent maneuverability and dynamics.
T-100 LT at level 10 WoT received a good 100 mm T-100 gun. 
The review of the T-100 LT gun should begin with a discussion of the alphastrike. With a basic projectile, the vehicle can penetrate armor in 230 mm, removing for each shot 320 HP. It should be noted that this is the lowest figure among classmates, but it looks very good. DPM amounts to 2,286 units, which is not an absolute record at the level, but looks a little scary.
If we talk about armor penetration, the T-100 LT will not be able to penetrate level 10 armored monsters head-on even with sub-caliber shells. However, given the dynamics and maneuverability of the vehicle, direct confrontation is not required: the tank can easily spin the clumsy heavies, making holes in the vulnerable sides with conventional AP guns.
The accuracy of the T-100 LT tank is typical for the Soviet branch: the spread is simply terrifying. To sweeten the pill a little, the developers gave the vehicle unexpectedly good gun stabilization, which can be enhanced by crew skills and additional equipment. The mixing speed also looks good. Reviews of the T-100 LT based on testing results are amazing: 8 out of 10 shots without aiming hit the target, and this is when shooting at long distances!
Vertical guidance angles are already habitually weak, like all Soviet equipment in the game down to 5 degrees which will require a lot of getting used to.

Reservation T-100 LT
Let's turn to the viability of the tank on random fields. Of course, upon first examination, the armor characteristics of the T-100 LT look very mediocre, but keep in mind that we are dealing with “bare” numbers. The housing has 100 mm armor in the frontal projection, however, proper placement of the VLD angles increases this figure by approximately up to 200 mm, accordingly, the machine will often catch ricochets, especially if you do not stand statically, but turn the body further. 
The front plate of the tower pleases with a value of 180 mm. However, the shape and angles of the tower will not provide reliable protection. To compensate, the turret looks rather squat, so targeting vulnerable areas in a fast-paced battle will be quite problematic.
The only thing that the Soviet light tank T-100 LT cannot boast of is the side projection of the hull and turret. Naturally, 40 millimeters will not be a serious obstacle for powerful dozen barrels and low-level equipment. Sometimes, hits from afar will be absorbed by the caterpillars, but you shouldn’t count on such luck all the time.
Selection of equipment and crew perks for the T-100 LT
In principle, we are dealing with a good device that has enormous potential. However, it will be very problematic to fully realize the capabilities without modules and properly selected crew skills.
So, the following equipment is installed on the T-100 LT tank: 
- Rammer – we increase the DPM.
- Stabilizer – increasing accuracy indicators.
- Coated optics – don’t forget that we are playing on a firefly.
It should be clarified that the last slot can be left for improved ventilation in order to get a small bonus to accuracy and firepower.
You will have to be creative in upgrading tankers: the crew consists of three people, so the standard set for fireflies will not work here. It is better to give preference to this sequence of training: 
In terms of choosing consumables, the game does not give much choice, so before the battle we load the standard set.
Tactics for playing the T-100 LT
The T-100 LT can add a lot of thrills to players and significantly diversify the usual gameplay. Like any firefly, the top tank is designed to spot opponents and support teammates. However, given the characteristics of the T-100 LT, the tactics of the game go beyond the standard framework. 
In random you can implement the following scenarios:
- Active light. The dynamics of the vehicle allows you to quickly approach the enemy team within sight distance and transmit intelligence data. The tank is capable of quickly moving along the flanks and diving into folds of the terrain with lightning speed. At the same time, it will be very difficult to hit a fast car.
- Passive color. Given the high camouflage coefficient, the T-100 LT is capable of quickly occupying key points and highlighting the enemy from the bushes. If you don’t move and don’t shoot, you can only detect a tank by approaching it almost point blank.
The best option would be to combine both tactics, increasing your efficiency and bringing maximum assistance to the team. Don't forget about gun stabilization: the tank can fire, but the stabilization is poor.
In addition, mobility combined with accuracy allows you to spin almost any enemy in the game, maximizing the DPM, “pinching” heavy tanks by their vulnerable sides.
World of Tanks has a very large number of different tanks, and each of them requires an individual approach. We have already looked at the tactics of fighting on heavy and medium tanks, looked at all sorts of tactics for playing this class of equipment, and finally, figured out their positive and negative qualities. Today we will get acquainted with light tanks. First, let's figure out what class of equipment this is.
Light tanks are a classification of combat vehicles that are lighter than medium tanks, but heavier than wedges and small tanks.
So, that's sorted out. There are quite a lot of light tanks in the World of Tanks game, here are the most popular of them: M24 Chaffee - American light tank of level 5, Soviet T-50-2, Vk2801 - a German light tank, specific, quite different from other light tanks with its gun, and of course, American and French light tanks, some of which have a loading drum, but we won’t talk about that.
Let's look at a light tank using the example of the Soviet T-50-2. This tank, like many other tanks, is used only for light, because in its other endeavors, such as shooting in the hope of penetrating or crippling the enemy, failure awaits. As befits all light tanks, we have a small mass of only 14 tons, and an engine power of 300 l/s, which is very good. Such an engine is capable of accelerating this tank to 72 km/h.
The T-50-2 is sometimes called a motorcycle, precisely because of its speed and very low weight.
The key to successfully playing a light tank is the ability to control the tank correctly and be several steps faster than the enemy.
At the beginning of any fight, it all starts with light. Light is the detection of enemy equipment; it is needed so that your allies can correctly orient themselves and distribute forces evenly.
You should always shine with caution, you should not try to show everyone on the map! Your main goal is to live as long as possible, you are the eyes of the team, its companion.
The tactics on LT are often always the same - to highlight as many enemies as possible and at the same time remain unharmed. Many light tank drivers think that at the very beginning of the battle it is necessary to show the enemy artillery at all costs. This is not true, why? Even if you find an enemy artefact, the expectation that your allies will destroy it is zero; wait until your artefact is charged, because they often have a cooldown of at least 15-20 seconds. If you die at the beginning of the battle, you will let your team down, leaving them without eyes, and you also risk going into a deep minus on loans.
Everything is clear with the main task of the LT, nothing supernatural, but is this really their only calling?
In part, one can say so, but we also have a weapon, we don’t need it at all? A weapon for a light tank is like a sting for a bee. The guns of this class of equipment are weak, but in reality nothing more is needed.
Our task is light and destruction of art, and for this we do not need super weapons. For example, the T-50-2 cannon has a penetration of 112 mm and damage of 85 units, with a very good rate of fire. This is enough to punch through cardboard art. We also have the ability to bite tanks, causing damage to their sides and stern.
The American M24 Chaffee has less mobility compared to the T-50-2, but the gun with 137 mm penetration and 115 damage gives us the opportunity to feel like a medium tank. The German VK 2801 can even be equipped with a 105 mm caliber gun with damage up to 350 units! This means that you can have a good time on some LTs, causing pleasant damage that upsets the enemy! Also, when playing on light vehicles, try to play on the last line, hide behind stronger heavy tanks, and while they are taking damage, you must cram as many shells as possible into the rear of the enemy. Never stand in the bushes unless required, you are not a tank destroyer and you don’t have the gun with which you can upset the enemy! Never stand in one place! You have absolutely no armor, and even a splash from a level 5-6 art can lead to death.
You also need to imagine where the enemy self-propelled gun is approximately located and try to highlight and destroy it!
Based on the text, we can say that when playing a light tank, you should first of all play for the team, priority plays a very small role here. You have speed, remember this, you will be faster than the enemy everywhere, and most importantly, learn to be where you are not expected, and where you are - an unexpected surprise!

Characteristics for choosing LT
Let's look at the main characteristics of ranking light tanks of level 8 World of Tanks for LBZ 15.

- Masking coefficient– a very important parameter for LT, affecting the overall visibility in the game. This coefficient for the class of light tanks is the same when moving and stationary. The higher it is, the less noticeable the technique is in the game. When shooting, the coefficient clearly decreases, which is strictly not recommended for use in a passive light position.
- Power density– a parameter influencing the overall dynamics. The faster a tank takes a key position for active or passive coverage, the more benefit it will bring to the team.
- View range– a parameter that affects the detection range of the enemy, taking into account its camouflage coefficient. Above 445 meters, we will not be able to detect the enemy, but we will be able to detect camouflaged targets at the maximum accessible distance for us.
- Damage per minute (DPM)– parameter shows the value of damage caused per unit of time. The greater the damage, the faster we send the enemy to the hangar.
- Tank HP (HP)– parameter shows the amount of safety margin of the tank.

If you look only at the “naked” numbers, then T-100 LT characteristics the armor is not that good, but due to the fact that the VLD has an excellent angle of inclination, the reduction here reaches 230 millimeters, so ricochets will often delight you, especially if you do not stand still and turn the body further.
The forehead of the tower in our case is more vulnerable, although the armor is nominally T-100 LT WoT It's better here. The thing is that the bevels and slopes of the tower are worse, that is, it is much easier to break through it, but just look at its shape, it is so low that you still need to hit it.
But you shouldn’t rely on the side projection, because on this side it’s very thin, except that the gusli will periodically “eat up” the damage, but no more.
It is also worth noting the stealth factor of our firefly, because it is incredibly high. The fact is that T-100 LT World of Tanks has an incredibly low silhouette, which is why camouflage is very good. But do not forget that the tank has a long hull, which makes us more vulnerable to artillery and it will not always be easy to hide completely.
Another strong, no, the strongest side of this unit is its mobility. T-100 LT tank received cosmic maximum speed, crazy dynamics, as well as serious maneuverability, such agility will still need to be mastered.

As always, the armament of the combat vehicle deserves special attention and I want to say right away that our gun is really good, in any case, it will be much more pleasant to fight at the top on a vehicle of the tenth level than of the eighth.
Let's start with the fact that T-100 LT gun has a very good alpha strike, although it is the lowest among his new classmates. Regarding the rate of fire, everything is also very decent, you can deal about 2190 units of damage per minute pure. Of course, this is not a record, but the result is not bad.
Armor penetration parameters T-100 LT World of Tanks They also make me happy. Yes, you won’t be able to penetrate most Tier 10 tanks head-on with standard sub-caliber shells, but this is not required by such mobility, because it costs nothing to hit your opponent’s side. In addition, we have very evil armor-piercing ones at our disposal, and their normalization is higher.
As for accuracy, the spread T-100 LT tank got a really big one, however, on our side there is decent stabilization, which can still be improved with perks and equipment, and the aiming speed of the gun is remarkable. The stabilization is currently amazing, even at long distances 8 shots out of 10 without aiming hit the target, so you can expect at least a small nerf, time will tell.

The technology in our hands is completely new and incredibly interesting from a gameplay point of view. However, to more fully realize the combat potential of this newcomer, it is not enough just to know its performance characteristics; it would be much better to highlight the main advantages and disadvantages T-100 LT World of Tanks, which is what we will do now.

This new Tier 10 tank is an incredibly fun, very versatile and powerful vehicle that a skilled player can find many uses for. Of course, first of all, as in the case of most fireflies, for T-100 LT tactics may consist in obtaining intelligence data, that is, providing coverage.
To do this, you can follow two well-known scenarios:
1. Firstly, the car is so fast and dynamic that it is capable of covering any distance in a very short time. Thanks to this, active lighting is very convenient, because you can “fly” across the entire map, “dive” in terrain, and so on, detecting the enemy. At the same time, it will be very difficult to hit you due to the low silhouette and breakneck speed.
2. Secondly, thanks to excellent camouflage Soviet light tank T-100 LT capable of shining passively. Standing at a key position in a bush, without moving or opening fire, it is difficult to detect us even at close range.
Of course, it would be best to combine the two styles, but playing actively is incredibly fun and interesting. Thanks to excellent stabilization T-100 LT World of Tanks capable of masterfully inflicting damage without slowing down at all. That is, you can implement your CSA directly on the move.
