The console in TES5 serves as a debugging tool, but nothing prevents you from using it for good or selfish purposes. Often, when traveling around Skyrim, you come across great things that are very difficult to part with, especially in cases where the item contains rare enchantments. A dilemma arises: leave her or lose her. Everything would be simpler if the location of objects in the game were strictly tied to certain locations. The fact is that in TES5 everything happens automatically - it is very difficult to stumble upon the same item in the same location. Knowing the IDs of items, you can easily add them to your inventory, which will save a lot of time searching for them. If items cloned or added via the console are not related to tasks, the most they can affect is the balance, for example, the character will have a weapon that is too powerful, which should not be there at the moment. The console can also be useful for returning lost items from quests, for example, a priest of the Dragon Cult, which is often thrown away as unnecessary, although it is a link between the present and the past, the key to the reward. There is no need to be afraid to use the console; it is important to do it correctly, with a sense of proportion and not to forget about backup copies of your saves. With the right approach, nothing will happen.
The main way to find out the ID of an item in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Legendary Edition):
- Open the console with the key [~] , enter the command player.showinventory, which will show all the items currently in the character’s inventory, click . If there are too many things, use the and keys to scroll through the list. The required ID is indicated in parentheses after the name of the item.
An additional way to find out the ID of an item in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Legendary Edition):
- We put the thing whose ID you need to find out in an empty container - these can be chests, barrels, bags, etc. Open the console with the key [~] , click the mouse cursor on the container where the objects were previously placed, enter the command inv, which will show the contents, click . The larger the container, the easier it is to hit it with the cursor to enter a command, otherwise it will not work.
Adding and cloning items in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Legendary Edition):
- Open the console with the key [~] , enter the command player.additem [number of items]. For example, you need to return the mask of the high priest Vokun: in the console we write - player.additem 00061CC9 1 (letter case is not important), press the key , after which the specified item will appear in the inventory. If you miss at least one of the parameters of the command, it will not work, a warning will appear about the impossibility of compiling the script, so it is necessary to indicate the number of things after the ID.
Sometimes in RPG games you come across difficult or simply strange tasks that cannot be completed without the help of strangers. At such moments, you have to look through all thematic sites on the Internet, ask friends who have played before. One of these tasks is building a house in Skyrim.
If you want your own home, then you will have to work hard for this.
Building a house became possible only in the Hearthfire expansion. It’s also possible to create your own family, diversifying the character’s life quite well. Unfortunately, a luxurious mansion is not provided for in the Elder Scrolls, and, in general, the list of restrictions will be too long. But why not try if the opportunity presents itself?
So, what should you build your house from?
In total, we will need ten items, four of which can be made ourselves, and the remaining six, accordingly, will have to be looked for somewhere.
1. Clay. Clay cannot be made by yourself, so the player will have to explore thoroughly to find it. One of the ways to get clay in the game Skyrim is to contact the manager. To do this, you just need to talk with him until it becomes possible to order clay. You can also mine clay yourself using a pickaxe. There are many places for this, but the most obvious are deposits close to home. Clay ID in Skyrim: XX003043
2. Glass. It can be purchased from merchants who sell all sorts of interesting things (in Gray Pines, for example), caravanners, and also by simply exploring the vast universe of Skyrim. Glass ID in Skyrim: XX005A69
3. Goat horns. You need to look for it from merchants (Beletor's Goods in Whiterun) or get it yourself by hunting goats. ID of goat horns in Skyrim: XX00303F
4. Quarry stone. Impossible to make yourself. You need to either contact the manager and order from him, or, as previously discussed, get it with a pickaxe from deposits that are located near the house. Sometimes quarry stone comes across by accident. Quarry stone ID in Skyrim:ХХ00306С
5. Sawn log. You can find it, again, from the manager. Or buy twenty pieces at once at the nearest sawmill. ID of sawn logs in Skyrim: XX00300E
6. Straw. Can be purchased from merchants (Beletor's Goods in Whiterun) and from caravaners. Straw ID in Skyrim:XX005A68
7. Loop. You can make it yourself from iron ingots. Loop ID in Skyrim: XX003011
8. Iron fittings. The same as with the loop. ID of iron fittings in Skyrim: ХХ003035
9. Castle. Also made from ingots. ID of castles in Skyrim: ХХ003012
10. Nail. Also made from ingots. ID of nails in Skyrim: ХХ00300F
Next to each material its code is indicated.
If you enter it into the command line, you can get any resource immediately. It's done something like this. First, you need to press “tilde” (or e) to turn on the game console. If for some reason it does not turn on, then most likely you need to give it administrator rights.
To do this, close the game and right-click on it. Then select "run as administrator". After all these steps, the console should work. Enter the command player.additem### there, replacing ### with the resource code you want to have. For example, let's take the Id of a quarry stone in Skyrim: XX00306C, replacing XX with the number 02 (or 03, 04.
Depending on how the Hearthfire expansion was launched). It should output "player.additem0200306C". Then we add to this the number of stones (or other resources) that we need: player.additem0200306C5.
We enter the result into the console and get the required amount of resources.
Cheat codes in the game Skyrim 5 (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim) allow you to customize the game at your discretion.
How to enter codes:
- Press the "~" (tilde) key to open the console window.
- Enter the required code (all codes are listed below).

Skyrim cheat codes - Enchanting (improving) weapons and armor
Enchanting is a skill with which you can independently add magical properties to ordinary objects.
Rules for creating enchanted items:
- You can only improve the base item, without other enchantments;
- each item can have no more than 2 enchantments;
- the quality of enchantment depends on the Enchanting skill;
- level up your Enchantment skill to level 100 – Player.SetAV Enchanting 100.
- open all enchantment perks (a way to upgrade perks).
There is a cheat code for adding a ready-made enchanted item to your inventory. To do this, you need to know the code of the base item and the enchantment code:
After enchanting, the item will have a very small charge (170-350). To increase the charge of a weapon, you need to pick it up and enter the following code:
Skyrim cheat codes - Legendary weapons and armor
Legendary weapons and armor are standard items, but with significantly improved stats. These items are created by professional blacksmiths (skill level 91 to 100). The percentage of item improvement directly depends on the level of the Blacksmithing skill. The higher the skill, the better the characteristics of the created legendary item.
What is needed to upgrade weapons and armor to legendary quality:
- blacksmithing level 91+;
- Workbench;
- regular armor or weapons;
- ingredients for improvement (different for all things).
All these things in Skyrim can be obtained in the usual way, but it will take a lot of time. With the help of cheat codes this process can be significantly speeded up. Enter the following codes:
- Player.SetAV Smithing 100– pump up “Blacksmithing” to level 100;
- Player.PlaceAtMe 000D932F– create a workbench right in front of you;
- Player.AddItem [quantity]– add a blank item to your inventory (item codes can be found here).
- In the game, we approach the workbench, look at what ingredients are needed to improve the selected item;
- Player.AddItem [quantity]– add the necessary ingredients to your inventory (item codes can be found here);
- We approach the workbench and upgrade the item to legendary quality.
TES V: Skyrim codes - How to find out item ID
You can add absolutely any item to your inventory, the main thing is to know its game code. If you already have a unique item and you want to create several more copies of this item, you can determine the item code:
Method 1
- Enter the code in the console: Player.ShowInventory
Note. This method always works, but if you have too many items in your inventory, you may have difficulty finding the item you need. In this case, use the second method.
Method 2
- Place the item whose ID you need to find out in an empty box (barrel, chest, bag or something else).
- We come as close to the box as possible (it is advisable to sit down).
- Open the console, click on the box in which our item lies, enter the command INV.
- We look for the required item by name and look at the item ID.
Having found out the item code, we use it in the standard cheat for adding an item:
Codes for placing objects
Skyrim cheats and codes - Defining an object code
These commands only work when a specific object is selected in the console. To select an object in the console, you just need to click on it with the mouse. After selecting an object, a message with the object code (object ID) will appear in the console.
To scroll through text in the console, if there is a lot of it, use the “Page Up” and “Page Down” keys.
If you want to apply several commands to the same selected character or object, then you do not need to select it with the mouse each time; it is enough to select it only once (the selection is saved).
There are many invisible objects in the game (sound sources, light sources, quest zones), they can be mistakenly selected instead of the required item, so it is advisable to be as close to the object as possible to make it easier to hit it. Various game special effects (fog, snow, blizzard) also complicate the process of selecting an object.
Objects located outside of screen visibility can only be selected in the console by their game ID code. This is done using the PRID [item code] command.
Skyrim console commands - Placing objects
For the following commands to work, you must first select the object - open the console and click on the object. After this, the inscription (object ID) should appear in the middle of the console screen.
(All objects you create have an ID starting with FF000...)
Notes:
To apply several commands to the same object, you do not need to select it again each time; the selection is saved.
Sometimes, after using the Setpos and GetAngle commands, an object moves only visually, physically it remains in the same place (the texture moves, not the object itself). To fully move an object, you need to select it and enter two more commands: Disable And Enable. You can also enter the command Setscale 1 to update the physical model of an item.
To align an incorrectly placed object, enter:
SetAngle x 0, SetAngle y 0, SetAngle z [any number].
Object Management
Cheats from Skyrim - Objects for the house
Many Skyrim players have their own home or favorite place where they spend a lot of time. But not every place has the necessary workplaces: alchemy tables, forges, workbenches.
These cheat codes allow you to install workstations anywhere:
Furniture for home
When created, all items appear in front of you in the direction you are looking. To set the item level, before introducing the cheat, center your gaze so that the character is looking straight ahead, and not down or up.

COC [location_name] | Teleport to a specified location |
COC Qasmoke | Teleportation to test location. Here you will find all the game items and tools for making any items. |
Player.MoveTo [object code] | Teleport to the specified object (character) |

Player.SetPos x [#] Player.SetPos y [#] Player.SetPos z [#] | Move your character to the specified coordinates. (Do not close the console until you use the command 3 times for each of the coordinates. Moving occurs only after closing the console). |
TMM [#] | Enable/disable markers on the world map - remove everything. - show all. — show everything, but without the ability to quickly move |
Codes for friendly characters (NPCs)
Skyrim codes - Stop a fight with an NPC
- We stand so that all the characters who attacked us are immediately visible on the screen.
- Turn on the console, select each NPC in turn, enter the codes for them:
- Player.SetCrimeGold 0– turn off the reward for our head;
- StopCombat– disable the character’s aggressive behavior.
- Only after we turn off the reward for our head from all enemies can we close the console. (If at least one NPC is not assigned a code, he will start attacking us again, and after him, all other NPCs will again become aggressive. The remaining hostile characters are clearly visible on the minimap, they are highlighted with red dots, you must apply the code to everyone) .
These commands do not work on our constant enemies (monsters and some story characters), who are always attacking us.

SetPos [axis] [#] | Returns rotation along the (x,y,z) axis |
SetAngle [axis] [#] | Rotates an object along the (x,y,z) axis |
MoveTo Player | Move a non-player character to the player character. Using Player.PlaceAtMe will create a clone of the NPC |

Enable | "Enable" object |
Kill | Kill the selected target |
Resurrect 1 | Revives the selected target |
ResetAI | Restore default dialogues - erase the memory of the selected NPC. This command should only be used if you killed someone, resurrected them, and after that they refuse to talk to you |
SetEssential [#] | Makes an NPC mortal (0) or immortal (1) |
MarkForDelete | Delete the selected object or character. Important: using this code you can delete not only some chest, but also invisible objects that can be selected by clicking on them and which are necessary for the normal functioning of the game. Be careful when using this command. Objects created by console commands are deleted immediately, and those initially present in the game are deleted after saving and loading the game. There is no reverse command. To remove objects from the game, it is recommended to use this command rather than disable, since the latter only hides the item and does not delete it, as a result of which saves become bloated with unused objects. |
Customize NPC personality, characteristics, skills:
SetRace | Changes the character's race. There are also the meanings of ElderRace and ElderRaceVampire - these races are something like the elders (for example, Esbern is an Elder, but he is also a Nord. Greybeards are also included here). Also, if you add Vampire at the end, then the object will become a vampire (example: OrcRaceVampire). Race names: ArgonianRace— Argonian, BretonRace— Breton, DarkElfRace- Dark Elf, ElderRace- Forest Elf, HighElfRace- High Elf ImperialRace— Imperial, KhajiitRace— Khajiit, NordRace— Nord, OrcRace— Orc, RedguardRace- Redguard. |
SetLevel ,,, | Sets the level of the non-player character. Enter SetLevel 1000,0,1,81 so that the character develops along with the player character from level 1 to 81. 1) [% ? 10] Percentage of level to the main character (1000 = 100.0%). 2) How much higher or lower than the level. 3) [entry level] The most initial level of a non-player character. 4) [level cap] The maximum level of a non-player character to which he can develop |
GetAV [characteristics] | Gets the current value of each variable |
ModAV [characteristics] [#] | Adds the specified amount to a value |
ForceAV [characteristics] [#] | Sets the value to # quantity |
SetAV [characteristics] [#] | Sets the specified quantity to the specified value. Unlike modav, it does not add to the value, but sets it |

Skyrim V codes - NPC controls
With these cheats you can gain control over any monster or character. Do everything strictly in the specified sequence:
- Switch to third-person view (key “F”).
- We approach the desired character or monster whom we want to inhabit.
- Open the console, select the monster by clicking the mouse, enter the codes:
- Player.TC– Control the main character
- TC– Control a non-player character or creature
- Close the console.
Notes:
After gaining control of an NPC, you will only be able to move with it and will not be able to attack.
If you press attack, your main character will attack, and not the one you control. How to force NPCs to attack is unknown.
To return to normal play and gain control of your main character, enter in the console:
Cheats in the game Skyrim - NPC companions
In Skyrim, almost any character can be made your partner, so that he can follow us and help in battles. To do this we do the following:
- We approach the required character, open the console, click on the character. Let's start entering codes:
- SetRelationshipRank Player 3– transfer the character to a group of possible allies.
- AddFac 0005C84D 1– add the necessary dialogue.
- Close the console and continue the game. We talk to the character, select the dialogue that appears: “Follow me. I need your help".
SetRelationshipRank Player 3 | Transfer a character to a group of possible allies |
AddFac 0005C84D 1 | Add NPC dialogue to add him to your partners |
Set PlayerFollowerCount to 0 | Adds dialogue for taking on new partners. After entering this command, the old partners will continue to follow the player, but you can take another partner. As soon as you take someone else as your partner, the old partner stops following you. If no one is following you, no companions, then this command is useless. The maximum number of partners is 1. There is no point in entering something else instead of 0 - it will not give any effect. |
Set PlayerFollowerCount to [#] | Set the number of partners. By setting “0”, you can refuse all companions at once |
Codes for completing quests
Skyrim has a lot of side quests that can take months to complete. Quests are a chain of several tasks (quest stages). Using codes, you can quickly complete both individual stages of quests and entire quests.
View codes from Skyrim - Search for quest
How to move to the quest goal:
- Open the console and enter ShowQuestTargets— we get the quest ID code. (Quest IDs, after introducing ShowQuestTargets, are located in exactly the same sequence as in the “Quest Log”).
- In the resulting list, look for Current quest:, remember this ID. (To scroll the text in the console, press the “PageUp” and “PageDown” keys).
- Now we enter MoveToQt to teleport to the quest goal.
What are the codes in Skyrim? Passing the quest
StartQuest | Start quest |
CompleteQuest | Complete the quest (This command is not recommended, as you will not be able to get the next quest if it is a quest chain. Use only if you want to complete the quest without being able to go further). |
ResetQuest | Reset all stages of the quest, after which it can be completed again. (For this quest to be deleted from the Quest Log, you must save and load the game). |
CompleteAllObjectives | Mark all quest tasks as completed |
SetObjectiveCompleted [stage] [state] | Set all quest stage objectives to either completed (1) or failed (0) |
SetObjectiveDisplayed [stage] [state] | Set the state of the quest stage tasks (0 - disabled, 1 - enabled) |
SAQ | Start all quests in the game (may crash the game!) |
CAQS | Complete all quests in the game (may crash the game!) |
Complete the quest step using the code:
- We save the game and do not overwrite this save until we complete the quest.
- Open your list of tasks (key “J”). Select the quest we want to complete and press “Enter.”
- Open the console and enter ShowQuestTargets— we get the quest ID code.
- Enter GetStage. The stage of this quest will appear in the console as follows: GetStage >> [number].00. We remember the number of the current stage of the quest.
- Enter SQS— we get a list of all stages of the specified quest in the following form Stage [stage]: 1 (or 0). 1 means that the stage has been completed, 0 means the stage has not yet been completed. In the resulting list we look for our remembered stage of the quest. Remember the number of the next stage.
- Enter SetStage [stage]— set the stage of the quest. As a stage, enter the number of the next stage.
- Enter MoveToQt— teleportation to the target of the selected task.
We begin to go through the next stage of the quest on our own.
Complete the entire quest using the code:
If you complete a quest using the CompleteQuest command, it will simply be marked as completed and you will no longer be able to continue it. At the same time, you will not receive any reward for completing the quest in this way.
To receive all the rewards for the quest, you must complete all its component stages one by one. To do this, execute commands 6), 7) from the previous paragraph until all stages of the quest are completed. This is how you can complete any quest 100%.

Solving problems with entering codes
Skyrim codes - Remove squares when entering cheat codes
It often happens that when entering codes into the Skyrim console, not letters and numbers are displayed on the screen, but empty squares. This happens because letters of the Russian alphabet are entered, but they are not supported in the game console. There are several methods to solve this problem.
Method 1. Switch the font in the game
Press the “Scroll Lock” key to switch the alphabet right in the game. (Doesn't always work!).
Method 2. Changing the font
- Go to the game folder and find the file: Skyrim\Data\Interface\fontconfig.txt.
- In the properties of this file, uncheck the “Read Only” checkbox.
- Open the file and replace the following line:
map "$ConsoleFont" = "Arial" Normal
on
map "$ConsoleFont" = "FuturaTCYLigCon" Normal
Method 3. Set the English language in the console
If for some reason you are unable to remove the squares in the console, then enter the cheat codes as they are. In this case, you will not see what you enter, but the codes will work. But before this, it is imperative to change the language in the console to English:
- Go to C:\Users\[username]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim
- Open the Skyrim.ini file.
- In the text of the Skyrim.ini file after the lines:
add (not replace) the following line:
sConsole=ENGLISH
Method 4 - Set the English language in the Steam client
During the game, press the key combination "Shift" + "Tab". Right-click on your nickname in Steam, click change language, select “EN”.
If none of the methods work, and you do not own the original version of the game, then you should think about finding another image with the game or purchasing the original version.
Method 5. Set English as the default language in the OS
If you cannot change the input language using sConsole=ENGLISH, then you need to set the default English language in the computer operating system.
Windows XP:
- "Start" menu, line "Run..."
- Enter the text: control international
- Go to the “Languages” tab, “More details...”
- Next, find “Default input language”, select “English (USA)”, “Ok”.
Windows 7:
- Go to “Start”, line “Control Panel”
- In the panel, select “Language and Regional Standards”, “Languages and Keyboards” tab
- Select "Change keyboard..."
- Find “Default input language” and select “English (USA)”, “Ok”.
Windows 8:
- In the lower right corner of the desktop screen, click on the inscription “RUS”.
- In the “Language Settings” menu, select “English. Keyboard layout: US."
- Move the selected line to the very top - press the “Up” button.
After this, the codes in Skyrim should be displayed normally.
Home objects
I was looking for the id of items to decorate my home and made a list. Much is already available on various sources, so I will not describe dozens of varieties of tables, cabinets and chairs, but I will write some, for example, the id of “tables without benches”, as well as the id of some banners, flags and curtains.
You can create these items with the command player.placeatme id and set their coordinates (x, y, z) using the commands: setpos x / setpos y / setpos z and setangle x / setangle y / setangle z
The first is the coordinates (you can find them out using the getpos... command), the second is the angles (the same thing, only getangle...). Instead of an ellipsis - x, y or z. There is also a rotate command, but I have not yet found a practical use for it; coordinates are usually sufficient. Naturally, in order to apply commands, you will need to select an object in the console. Objects created/discarded from your inventory will begin with the letters ff.
With these commands you can rearrange all containers, but static things (tables, chairs, beds, etc.) cannot. However, objects created by the player.placeatme command can be moved.
Pin-icon Note: B and 8 may be confused in some places as they are visually very similar.

The first priority in using codes in Skyrim is the id of the items, there is no need to remind you that there are thousands of items in the game, so a list of codes is necessary. This variety of weapons, armor, artifacts and ingredients will help you understand not only this article on the site and the item code file, but also internal help in the game console itself. But, I’ll tell you about everything in order. By the way, the fact that the names of the items in the original are in English gives us another point in the “pros” column for playing TES 5 in English. Let's touch a little on the moral issue of using cheats in Skyrim.
The code of an item in Skyrim is not always known; it happens that we know the name of the item, but could not find the code. This situation may arise if it is necessary to clone (copy) an already known object. To do this, you need to use the internal search system. To fully use it, you need to know the name of the item, and in the original (in English). The search is somewhat simplified by the fact that it is not necessary to know the full and exact name of the item - you can search by part of the name.
In the event that it was not possible to find the id of the desired The Elder Scrolls 5 item, or the code found corresponds to a completely different item, you can use the item search in the game itself, in the console. To do this, enter the following command:
help (phrase in the item name) (search form)
When writing a phrase, try to avoid spelling errors, as well as long names. If the search is unsuccessful, try shortening the phrase or rephrasing it a little (in case you made a spelling mistake). Let's move on to a specific example of using the search for objects in Skyrim.
Help "Daedra" 4
A specific example of searching for objects whose names contain the word daedra, for example, a Daedra heart, a Daedric sword or armor.
Using the Skyrim console to obtain items is convenient and effective. However, the deep and detailed world of the Ancient Scrolls makes its own adjustments. Let's start with the fact that the list of item codes is impressive. It is worth considering that it does not contain all game items, but only part of them. However, to create a copy of an item, it is not at all necessary to know its id. You can find it out right in the game, the built-in search system will help you with this.
