We released a new version for Android devices. In the new version, players will find a huge list of innovations! New mobs, new items and blocks, generation of new dungeons and much more!

This is the first build of the beta version so far Minecraft PE 0.15.0, so there may be bugs and crashes in it, but all this will be fixed in the next builds.

For now, let's take a quick look at what has changed.

Interface

The main menu interface has been significantly changed. Now it looks much nicer and similar to PC. Now your skin is displayed on the right side with the player’s nickname written above it. A button for “Achievements” and “Login to profile” has appeared, and you can also change your skin using the new interface, which opens using the button below the skin.

If you click on this "Hanger" button, you will go to the skins interface. The interface has been completely redesigned and looks much better than before. Here you can also select a new skin, a small “Recent Skins” window will appear.

Each paid skin pack now has its own window, which contains a small preview logo.

By logging into your profile Xbox you will have access to achievements, of which there are plenty in the game. The achievements window displays the number of points received from achievements, the number of open achievements and the time spent in the game.

The world selection menu has also been changed and looks almost the same as in Windows 10 Edition.

New buttons have also been added to the game “pause” window: “Invite a player” and “Achievements”. You can invite your friends to play with you using Xbox Live.

Mobs

In the new version MCPE, as in the first snapshots of PC version 1.10, a new mob was added - Skeleton Hermit. Outwardly he looks like an ordinary skeleton, but he is wearing shabby clothes. And here's some information about him:

Shoots arrows with a Slow I effect for 30 seconds
When killed, they drop bones, arrows, and sometimes Slow I arrows.
Technically, it is a skeleton with the NBT tag SkeletonType set to 2 (0 is a normal skeleton, 1 is a wither skeleton).

There will also be a new type of zombie in the new version. Husk(Sand Zombie). This mob was also added to the first snapshot of the PC version and added to 0.15.0 beta. It differs in that it does not burn in the sun and is found in hot biomes such as desert, savannah, etc. Brief information about it:

Horse

Well, finally, after a long time, the developers decided to add horses to the game on which you can travel through the endless game world =)

The pocket version will have one exclusive item for horses - leather armor. It is also worth noting the fact that such armor can be painted using a cauldron and dyes. Isn't that cool?

Regular and sticky pistons

This is another one of the main features that many players have been waiting for for several years, but now it is in MCPE! Pistons have finally appeared in the game, now you don’t have to install buggy mods.

Riding pigs

By placing a saddle on the pig and receiving a fishing rod with a carrot, you can ride the pig! This is very useful for long journeys!

Jungle Temple

Now, if you go into the jungle, you can come across a temple, which also contains a chest with items, just like in a temple in the desert. But be careful! There are traps in this temple that can kill you!

Pistons and mechanisms

Perhaps the most important new thing to try in beta version 0.15.0 is pistons and everything you can do with them. The appearance of regular and sticky pistons can be equated in significance to the introduction of red stone at the end of 2015. Now these two items can be used to create really interesting and complex mechanisms. Mojang Studio even released a video showing what you can create in the new mobile Minecraft:

It is worth noting that in the mobile version of Minecraft the animation of the piston has been slightly changed. They can also be used with chests and essence blocks, and you can also install torches and other similar items on the pistons.

New animals and monsters

The mobile version of Minecraft now has horses that you can saddle and equip with armor. In order to ride a horse in Minecraft PE 0.15.0, you first need to appease the animal with food like apples, and then put a saddle on it. Along with horses, leashes were introduced, which can also be used by other animals. With the help of a leash, the animal can be led along, as well as tied to a fence or other places.

Horses in mobile Minecraft are divided into several types:

Raw lamb that can be fried. Dropped by dead sheep.
A fireball is an item that can set everything around on fire. You can craft it.
Tag. Allows you to give a name to any friendly animal.
Leash - used on friendly animals and allows you to lead them behind you or tie them in place.
Fishing rod with carrots - controls the pig while riding it.
Several types of arrows that can be obtained using a cauldron.
Four types of horse armor: leather, iron, gold and diamond. Leather can be dyed using paint from the cauldron.

In addition, another new block has appeared - the observer. It is a sensor for changing the blocks that are located next to it.

World changes

New villages are now appearing in the taiga and savannah. They have a different structure and are more suitable for the local climate. And in the new Minecraft there are temples in the jungle. Here is one of the new villages in the taiga:

Texture pack support

Support for texture packs was not officially introduced in Minecraft PE 0.15.0, but inquisitive users found it in the game. One of the users of the Reddit forum even managed to use one of the texture packs without external modules and third-party applications. Xbox Live service integration

As part of the transfer of the Realms server system, the Xbox Live service from Microsoft was also integrated into mobile Minecraft. When you first start the game, you will be prompted to log in using your Xbox Live account. It opens up access to achievements, as well as multiplayer, which works for free - you can play with friends from Xbox Live.

In that screenshot, a new fish is even noticeable, I myself, of course, don’t know what kind of fish it is, but I think in the future we will find out its name.

Also, in addition to any changes in biomes and adding various items, the developers will add long-awaited mob - horse.

For a long time, the game developers worked hard to add this mob, they constantly had all sorts of errors, and finally they finally solved all these problems and gave us accurate information that they will introduce this mob.

There is no information yet regarding the armor for the horse, perhaps the armor will not be added in this version, in general, time will tell.

Also, the developers will definitely add two new types of food - raw lamb and fried lamb. I don’t know why the developers didn’t introduce this type of food earlier, perhaps they simply forgot, or there were simply various shortcomings.

In Minecraft 0.15.10, many different colored panels will definitely be added. Their main purpose is simply decoration for various buildings and everything like that.

Also, we should not forget that the developers have been promising to introduce trade with residents into the mobile version for many years, and finally in Minecraft PE 0.15.10, they will add this trade.

It seems to me that this trade with residents will be slightly different from trade with residents on the PC version of the game. Since the developers have been trying for a long time to make a mobile version of minecraft pe, to make it more exclusive.

Don't forget that the developers will most likely make trading in the game on phones more fair than on PC Minecraft. Almost everyone playing the PC version has long realized that trading with residents is very unfair.
