Dying Light: The Following is being prepared for release - a large addition that seriously expands the game world. If you liked Dying Light, you might be glad that a new portion of chaos with zombies and parkour awaits us. The Following will take 10 hours to complete, but if you want to explore everything, you'll need up to 20 hours. Additionally, you can import your saves from Dying Light into the expansion, since you play as the same main character, Kyle Crane. Dying Light has been a huge success, with sales totaling 5 million copies across PS4, Xbox One and PC since its launch in January.

The Following is a set of expansions based on the core story in a large new area, the size of which is comparable to the size of the game itself. In Dying Light: The Following, you'll see Kyle Crane traveling through a dangerous suburb ruled by mysterious fanatical cultists whose beliefs are somehow suspiciously connected to the zombie invasion. To get closer to the cultists and unravel their secrets, players will have to earn the trust of the locals.

While completing various missions and assignments, players will choose how to infiltrate the circle of sectarians. In order to increase their chances of survival in this harsh terrain, players will receive a buggy that they can improve and customize to their needs. Buggy will have a separate skill tree associated with it. Players will have the opportunity to travel through the vast suburban areas of Harran, using buggies as a new deadly weapon."

Five new facts about the game

New World: This is a huge piece of countryside. It is the same size as all Dying Light maps combined. There are industrial areas and urban areas so you can use parkour to move around. But most of the map, however, will be fields and farms. The area is adjacent to the city of Harran, and the plot is related to the zombie invasion in this city.
Transportation: One of the reasons the world has become more open is the ability to drive buggies that players will have access to. The buggy is equipped with special canopies that make it possible to break through a crowd of zombies. Although there is only one car, you can customize it however you see fit. Buggy has its own skill tree and upgrade system. For example, when you drive through a crowd of zombies or perform a jump, you earn driving points, which you can use to improve your buggy. The game will also have the ability to compete with other players in co-op. In the mode for four people, you can take one buggy for each, or take one for two, so that one controls, and the other sits in the back and shoots zombies.
New Weapon: The much-anticipated crossbow will be used as a silent weapon, allowing for more discreet passing methods. The crossbow is perfect for accurate sniper shots. In addition, the game also adds a rapid-fire SMG to destroy enemies.
Story: This time you'll be fighting mostly humans. The plot will be built around a cult that arose in the territory adjacent to the city. Members of this cult are immune to the virus that turns them into zombies. The story is completely separate from the main plot of Dying Light.
Walkthrough: progression through the story is based on a “system of trust.” The more you destroy bandits and complete tasks for the cultists, the more they will trust you. Once you gain the trust of the cult members, you will have access to new tasks that can be completed in any order you wish.

More information about The Following

The game provides different options for plot development. It is unknown whether the cult was initially immune to the virus, or found a way to become immune to it. The crossbow and SMG are just two of the many new weapons in the expansion.
Along with melee weapons, players will be allowed to use firearms more often. The developers don't want you to just shoot zombies, but the new weapons will give you more options. You can still complete the game without using any firearms.
Despite the presence of buggies in the game, parkour also plays an important role. The car was added because the game requires you to move quickly across open areas. By customizing your buggy, you can add spikes and extra lights to kill zombies at night or even turn it into a mobile "electric cage".
When we asked about a Dying Light sequel, one of the developers said, "We'd be stupid if we didn't make a sequel." Therefore, most likely, we will be able to see a sequel to Dying Light someday, but for now the developers are focusing on the expansion.
