The developers have added to the list of prohibited mods in World of Tanks. Prohibited mods for World of Tanks List of prohibited mods for world of tanks

Today there are quite a few cheating mods for World of Tanks that can make gameplay easier. This build contains several prohibited modifications that make the game much more comfortable. The collection contains some of the most popular ones that are in great demand.

Users, in particular, are offered the “Tundra” mod, which can remove tree crowns and foliage. As a result, it will be much easier to target enemy vulnerable spots in the forest. The assembly also contains a modification that displays destroyed objects and fallen trees on the minimap. This will allow you to find out the locations of enemies.

In addition, the collection contains a laser pointer, thanks to which you can find out exactly where your opponent is aiming. There is also a cheat “Red Balls”, which marks with bright dots the places from which enemy artillery shots were fired.

With the help of the listed prohibited mods for World of Tanks, playing will become much easier. But before installing them, you should keep in mind that they can get you banned. The authors of this cheat build advise not to post screenshots and videos from the game publicly.

Wargaming has decided to add to the list of Prohibited Mods in the game. 2 very popular mods and 1 “cheat” will be added to the ZM. The last such edits were two years ago.

  1. The direction of the trunks on the minimap (“pointer” on the minimap).
  2. “Mod rear” or indicator of the direction of the nearest enemy (nearest enemy indicator).
  3. All mods that indicate the location of the enemy outside the rendering boundary (using red spheres, columns, etc.).
    This is the so-called mod: “Displaying a sphere in the place of the tank outside the drawing circle.”

The first one was asked to be added a very long time ago, at the very beginning, in the year 2016-2017, when it was relevant. We created topics and wrote petitions to the developers. Then all this was ignored. And now, several years later, WG made up his mind.
The second mod is less popular and not so cheating, a controversial choice in favor of it, IMHO.

According to statistics, the mod “Direction of guns on the minimap” is installed by 70% to 90% of players in modpacks, and the modification “indicator of the direction of the nearest enemy” is installed by 50-60% of users. modpacks.

Currently, these game modifications are not prohibited - the new fair play policy will come into force on June 1st. However, we would like to take this moment to notify you in advance: if you are using these mods, please remove them.

* There will be another campaign soon to block violating accounts based on the current (not updated) fair play policy. Even if it happens after June 1, you will not be blocked for using the above modifications.
But in subsequent campaigns the updated list of prohibited modifications will be taken into account. Those who continue to use the above mods despite our warnings will be punished.

What mods are prohibited? New edition.

We also decided to clarify some of the criteria by which a game modification is considered prohibited, harmful and unwanted. Therefore, we have changed some of the wording and made it more precise. It is in our common interests that violators do not have a single chance to ruin the game for honest tankers.

So, here is the updated list of criteria for prohibited modifications (changes in wording are in bold). Players caught using them will be punished.

  • Modifications that indicate enemy positions in a way different from that implemented in the game client. Mods that mark destroyed objects on the playing field or mini-map, change the way tracers of self-propelled gun shells are displayed, or calculate and display the position of enemy self-propelled guns based on its tracers, show illuminated vehicles, even if the player is not aiming at them or aiming the sight.
  • Modifications that make it easier to evade enemy shots by determining the enemy's aiming point or projecting the projectile's intended flight path onto the playing field, for example, using a beam emanating from the area of its model.
  • Modifications that report when enemy vehicles are reloading and display their reload timers.
  • "Smart" sights that offer more capabilities than the standard target acquisition functionality implemented in the client. This includes sights that automatically aim at weakly armored or vulnerable areas of vehicles or enemy vehicles in general, and also fix the sight on a target behind an obstacle or calculate the lead for the player.
  • Modifications that allow you to automatically use standard (not premium) equipment before the outcome of the battle is announced.
  • Modifications that change the transparency of objects on the map.
  • Modifications that display any marks or indicators on the playing field in the place where the enemy was noticed by anyone on the player’s team.
  • Any modifications that change the parameters of equipment or game objects, affect the gameplay and violate the Rules of the Game.

Just a few years ago it was difficult to imagine that there would be so many different variations of cheats in WoT. This section presents all the latest and most popular banned mods (as these same cheats are called in the game). Why are they so popular? It's all about a great advantage over the enemy, because the cheater has truly enormous opportunities in battle, which the average tanker is not even aware of.

Types of cheats for World of Tanks

  • Mod assemblies. There are two different types. The first is a simple archive without the ability to select the required prohibited mods. Just drop folders from the archive into res_mods and enjoy the new cheats. The second is functional installers that allow you to select not only different types of mods, but also provide a text description and screenshot of each modification. Often in such installers you can find quite ordinary, permitted mods.
  • Sights, changing the operating principle of a standard auto-aim, adding many previously unavailable capabilities to it. Anticipation, automatic search for weak areas in the tank, ignoring obstacles during capture and much more.
  • Different types of mods, removing foliage from the battlefield. These can be simple scripts, as well as full-fledged trainers in the form of exe files that do not affect the res_mods folder in any way, which is very convenient.
  • Additions and changes to tank models. One cheat adds a laser pointer from the barrel of a tank, the second can replace the model with a simplified one, which is used by servers to clarify penetration, the third will leave a noticeable silhouette of the vehicle where it was last illuminated. It is impossible not to mention color tracers; they not only have bright colors, but also stay on the screen much longer. And that's not all!
  • Interaction with map objects. Transparent objects under fire, always visible outlines, display of a red ball at the point where the enemy's unexposed artillery fired, and even a red pillar marking the place where the enemy is located, which stands outside the radius of the drawing circle.

The main thing that every fan of prohibited mods should remember is caution. Although Wargaming is not particularly in a hurry in the fight against cheats, it is still better to be careful and not spread information about your game, for example, by uploading replays of battles to various services. This also applies to screenshots; publishing them on the official forum means being banned with a 99% probability. On our website you can download cheats for WoT absolutely free.

Current information about those modifications for World of Tanks, the use of which leads to account blocking.

Continuing the topic about prohibited mods for World of Tanks. Let's start with a review of prohibited mods.

List of prohibited mods

This list presents the functionality of modifications, the use of which in one form or another is considered unacceptable by the World of Tanks administration:

  1. Any mods that affect game objects and change tanks and their performance characteristics are prohibited;
  2. Copies of illuminated enemy tanks created by mods are also prohibited for use;
  3. Any mods for transparent trees, buildings and other objects are prohibited in World of Tanks;
  4. In World of Tanks, mods that automate the use of a conventional fire extinguisher, first aid kit and other equipment in battle in a given game situation have become prohibited;
  5. Mods for sights that allow the enemy to aim the crosshair at vulnerable spots of the enemy tank are prohibited in the game. Modifications for sights that calculate the shot in advance and accompany the equipment behind obstacles are prohibited;
  6. WOT banned mods whose functionality allows you to monitor the start of reloading of an enemy tank, including by counting the time;
  7. Mods with laser sights on enemies remain prohibited. Modifications for World of Tanks that make it easier to evade enemy shells were also banned;
  8. The list of prohibited mods includes mods that identify the position of enemy tanks on the battlefield. For example, using: forced indication of illuminated tanks, calculation of artillery positions based on fired shells and left behind or tracers, mapping of destroyed objects on the minimap;
  9. World of Tanks mods used to calculate enemy armor in battle are prohibited. These modifications analyze a large amount of information and transmit the results to the player's screen. In particular, it is planned to prohibit mods that indicate the vulnerabilities of opponents in real time. The exception was mods that work in the hangar (outside of combat).
  10. Now any mods that automatically calculate the speed of a projectile and the time to hit a target are prohibited - anticipatory mods.

Ban for using prohibited mods for World of Tanks

We'll tell you more about punishment, players' confidence in impunity, and tracking prohibited mods.

Punishment for prohibited mods

The punishment for installing and using prohibited mods is severe. After the first warning, the player's account is blocked forever without the possibility of recovery. Please note that if you received ban for a week for prohibited mods, you will not have another chance to receive a warning and you will only have to remove the mods that led to the temporary blocking in order to avoid a permanent ban in World of Tanks. If you do not know which mod caused your account to be disabled, you should remove all existing modifications before entering the game, much less going into battle. This will eliminate the possibility of once again (for the last time) tarnishing the reputation of your account in World of Tanks.

Maybe it will happen and my account won’t be blocked

Let's dwell a little on tracking the use of prohibited mods. The vast majority of players using fashion included in list of prohibited(above), we are sure that World of Tanks does not know about their violation of the rules of the game. The situation is aggravated by the fact that some users who installed prohibited mods have been using them for a long time, and this fact has not yet led to blocking. This confidence is unfounded, since punishment can occur at any time. It’s a pity for that part of the players who use mods that have become banned quite recently and do not know about it. A simple rule applies to them: “ignorance of the laws does not exempt you from responsibility.”

How does World of Tanks track the presence of prohibited mods?

First of all, special robots on World of Tanks servers “see” the player’s use of mods from the list of prohibited ones. They analyze the game situation and add to the table the actions of players that they performed using prohibited mods. These same robots monitor files of the game client installed on the player that have been modified by mods. If the parameters of the changed objects match the prohibited parameters, the player is blacklisted. Next, information about all cases of the use of prohibited modifications in WOT collected by robots is sent to Wargaming employees, who check the facts found and decide whether to ban the player or issue a warning to him. A permanent ban can only be obtained after checking the use of prohibited mods and the presence of repeated violations. Particular attention is paid to complaints from bona fide players about suspicion of using prohibited mods in battle. In such cases, replays are reviewed and the facts of the use of modified World of Tanks parameters that provide significant advantages to the player against whom the complaint is made are checked.

  • Mods that display enemy positions in some way different from what is implemented in the game client:
    • marking destroyed objects on the map or mini-map in real time;
    • changing the way tracers of self-propelled guns are displayed or calculating the position of enemy self-propelled guns based on its tracers and marking them;
    • showing "highlighted" vehicles, even if you are not aiming at them.
  • Mods that make it easier to evade enemy shots by determining his aiming point and projecting the expected trajectory of the projectile, for example using a laser beam.
  • Modifications that report when enemy vehicles are reloading or display their reload timers.
  • "Smart" sights that offer more capabilities than the standard target acquisition functionality implemented in the client. Especially those sights that automatically aim at weak points of vehicles and/or enemy vehicles in general, and also “take” the target behind the obstacle and calculate the lead for the player.
  • Mods that allow you to automatically use standard (not premium) equipment.
  • Modifications that change the transparency of objects on the map.
  • Modifications that display “ghostly silhouettes” of enemy vehicles at the position where the vehicle was last “shine.”
  • Any possible modifications that change the parameters of equipment or game objects, affecting the gameplay and violating the Rules of the Game, which may appear in the future.

We believe this functionality provides players with a significant advantage. Considering that such modifications were not previously considered prohibited, we are not adding them to the list yet. At the same time, work continues on our own version of the tool, which will allow us to obtain the necessary information in battle.

After the creation of this tool, similar modifications with additional functions (for example, those that display vulnerabilities in combat) will be included in the prohibited list.

Please note: this only applies to those modifications that work in combat. We are absolutely not against mods that work only in the Hangar (not during battle). Moreover, they help new players gain the necessary knowledge and learn how to effectively fight various machines. Therefore, the list of cheating mods will only include those modifications that provide additional information in battle.
